NFL to kick off new season with Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Maroon 5

Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum and Maroon 5 will help kick off the 92nd National Football League season on Sept. 8.

The show, "NFL Kickoff 2011 presented by EA Sports," will be simulcast from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI, beginning at 7:30 pm ET on NBC and NFL Network, according to a press release. The live pre-game broadcast also will be available via Verizon's NFL Mobile.

The musical performances celebrate the kick off of the 2011 season and they also honor the 2010 Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers.

The pre-show leads into the NFL season opener between the Packers and the New Orleans Saints.
