Beyonce added to MTV's VMAs, Tony Bennett to remember Amy Winehouse

Beyonce will perform at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, which airs live Sunday (8/28) from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 9 pm ET/PT.
The pop star, who last performed at the VMAs in 2009, joins previously announced performers Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Lil Wayne among others.
Another expected highlight of the VMAs will be Tony Bennett's tribute to the late Amy Winehouse. The special segment will include footage of Winehouse and Bennett recording their new duet, "Body and Soul."
"Our family is honored that the VMAs are giving Amy this wonderful tribute," Mitch Winehouse said in a statement. "We know that Amy's performance of 'Rehab' at the MTV Movie Awards played an important part in Amy's worldwide success."
Bennett said he was thrilled to record with Winehouse. "When you listen to the recording of 'Body and Soul' it is a testament to her artistic genius and her brilliance as one of the most honest musicians I have ever known," Bennett said in a statement.
British women will be well represented this year at the VMAs; in addition to the Winehouse tribute, Adele will make her first appearance at the VMAs and pop phenom Jessie J news, tour dates, photos and tickets"> Jessie J will serve as the night's house artist.
There is no official host of the awards show; however, Selena Gomez will host the pre-show black carpet special.
