Garth Brooks has added more dates to his fall comeback itinerary, making concert history by breaking ticket sales records, as well as consecutive show records.

The country crooner, who recently took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, is now scheduled to perform 11 shows at Chicago's Allstate Arena, beginning Sept. 4 and running through Sept. 14. Four of those evenings -- Sept. 5, Sept. 6, Sept. 12 and Sept. 13 -- include two performances each. Seven concerts in Atlanta follow (9/19-9/27).

Brooks' wife, Trisha Yearwood, will provide support for the tour. The country songstress just announced plans to unveil "PrizeFighter," her 12th studio album and first since 2007's "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love."

Chicago ticket sales broke Brooks' previous 1998 record of 162,822 tickets. His seven consecutive Atlanta shows also beats his personal record, making him the only artist to ever sell that many consecutive shows at the Philips Arena. Elvis Presley held the original record of four shows.

The latest dates follow up a cancelled Ireland trek originally. Originally slated to play to 80,000 fans this month with state-of-the-art audio and video systems his production crews created for the tour, Brooks scraped the entire schedule when the local government refused to provide permits for all dates.

Brooks is set to unveil a new studio album in November, according to Rolling Stone. The collection will be his first with Sony Music Nashville.
