Trace Adkins, Alabama helm all-star tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd

Trace Adkins, Alabama, Gregg Allman and Charlie Daniels are among the musicians slated to commemorate rock icons Lynyrd Skynyrd later this year in a one-off celebration dubbed "One More For the Fans!"

Trace Adkins, Alabama, Gregg Allman and Charlie Daniels are among the musicians slated to commemorate rock icons Lynyrd Skynyrd later this year in a one-off celebration dubbed "One More For the Fans!"

The special concert and event taping will take place Nov. 12 at Atlanta, GA's Fox Theatre. Grammy-winning musician and record producer Don Was will lead an all-star house band as the evening's music director, and the the lineup will feature collaborations honoring the band, as well as performances by Lynyrd Skynyrd themselves.

Others on the bill include Peter Frampton, Warren Haynes, John Hiatt, Jason Isbell, Jamey Johnson, Aaron Lewis, moe., Gov't Mule, Robert Randolph, Blackberry Smoke, Cheap Trick and Donnie Van Zant. More guests will be announced in the coming weeks, and surprise visitors should be expected, according to a press release.
