Lorde readies for fall run, curating latest "Hunger Games" soundtrack
Along with a forthcoming fall tour, pop superstar Lorde will spend time curating the soundtrack for the next installment of "The Hunger Games" franchise.
Lorde is set to kick off her headlining tour with a Sept. 5 concert in Philadelphia, PA, and continue westward across the continent through mid-October. The 21-city outing, which includes two Canadian stops, extends through an Oct. 12 appearance at the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
The chart-topping songstress was tapped to contribute the first single for the "Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" soundtrack, as well as curate the remaining tracks for the album. That movie is scheduled to hit theaters Nov. 21.
Lorde continues supporting her debut album, "Pure Heroine," which surfaced last September. The platinum-selling Universal Music Group release peaked at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 and topped the magazine's Top Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums charts.
