The Black Keys begin their summer tour itinerary this weekend, followed by a European leg and an extensive major-market trek across North America, all behind "Turn Blue."

The rock duo of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney will make an appearance Friday (5/16) at The Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, AL, before heading across the pond for a mid-June European tour kick-off.

The stateside portion of the worldwide outing gets underway Sept. 5 in Columbus, OH, and reaches 41 cities before the Dec. 21 wrap-up in Kansas City, MO.

Opening acts will vary for the domestic run. Cage the Elephant will handle opening duties from Sept. 5 through Sept. 27, after which Jake Bugg will take over from Oct. 24 through Nov. 16. St. Vincent will finish up the trek, beginning Dec. 4.

The Black Keys are working the road behind the just-dropped "Turn Blue," the pair's eighth studio effort and first since 2011's Grammy-winning "El Camino." The two musicians co-produced the collection with Danger Mouse, in part at Auerbach's Nashville studio, Easy Eye Sound Studio.
