Paul McCartney adds more U.S. stops before Candlestick Park close-out
Paul McCartney has added a few more U.S. stops to his "Out There" tour, including the final performance for San Francisco's Candlestick Park.
The iconic Beatle is currently out of the country for a handful of performances before his June 14 North American kick-off in Lubbock, TX. Since last check, another three shows have been included in the schedule: an Aug. 5 concert in Missoula, MT; an Aug. 10 stop in Los Angeles, CA; and an Aug. 12 performance in Phoenix, AZ.
The road trip currently concludes with the "Farewell to Candlestick: The Final Concert" Aug. 14 in San Francisco, where McCartney will perform the stadium's final show before its demolition. That location also served as the final full Beatles concert in August 1966.
McCartney continues promoting his 16th studio effort, "New," which surfaced last October. The Virgin EMI Records release peaked at No. 3 on both The Billboard 200 and the U.K. Albums chart.
