Vampire Weekend extends "Modern Vampires" run
Vampire Weekend have filled out their early summer schedule further, adding several shows scattered across the eastern U.S. in continued support of "Modern Vampires of the City."
Since last check, the New York-based rockers have confirmed 10 more stops, beginning June 1 in Oklahoma City, OK, and pushing through a June 13 appearance at Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN.
The Grammy-winning outfit will spend the rest of this week in South America before returning stateside for several late April performances across the South. Two U.K. festivals in late August round out the schedule.
"Modern Vampires of the City," Vampire Weekend's third studio set, surfaced last May. The XL Recordings release not only topped The Billboard 200, but also the magazine's Alternative Albums, Independent Albums and Rock Albums charts. It also earned the band a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
