Rolling Stones 2014 tour hits Australia as European dates surface
The 2014 segment of the Rolling Stones' tour has swelled from a handful of South Pacific shows to a worldwide romp, with European festivals and arenas now filling the spring portion of the itinerary.
The tour is expected to load up the European leg with even more dates.
In a written statement, the Stones' Keith Richards said "Let's keep this show on the road...the band are in top form so I'm really looking forward to getting back to Europe."
The band last toured Europe formally in 2007 as part of their worldwide "Bigger Bang" tour.
The 2014 continuation of what was 2013's "50 and Counting" tour has adopted the handle "14 On Fire." Shows began in late February in Abu Dhabi, then moved to the Far East for shows in Tokyo, Macau, Shanghai and Singapore, bringing them to the Australian leg.
