SXSW Update: Schedule changes to be announced in accident aftermath
SXSW officials have released a statement regarding the accident that killed 2 people and injured nearly two dozen near the Mohawk club on Red River early Thursday morning.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the tragic accident that took place last night here in Austin," reads the statement posted to the SXSW.com website.
"We appreciate and commend the first responders, as well as the city agencies who so quickly sprung into action."
"We will be making schedule and venue changes for programming in the surrounding area of last night's events. All other programming will continue as previously scheduled."

Police continue to investigate the area near the accident site and several roads near the venue remain closed to foot and vehicle access.
The accident took place at the end of a set by X at the venue, and the closing show of the night by Tyler, The Creator was cancelled.
At least two of the injured remain in critical condition at a nearby hospital. The driver of the vehicle, suspected to drunk driving and trying to evade officers at the time of the crash, will face murder charges.
