Rod Stewart and Santana collaborate for "The Voice, The Guitar, The Songs"
The British singer/songwriter will spend time alongside the Mexican guitar virtuoso for the 18-city "The Voice, The Guitar, The Songs" tour that gets underway May 23 in Albany, NY. Several Canadian shows are also on the books before the Aug. 20 conclusion in Wantagh, NY.
General on-sales begin March 7, though American Express cardholders can take advantage of a pre-sale beginning March 3.
Both musicians, who are Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, are supporting new albums. Stewart's most recent effort, "Time," surfaced in May 2013 and marks his first rock album in a dozen years. The collection peaked at No. 7 on The Billboard 200 and at the top of the U.K. Albums chart.
Santana, who received the 2013 Kennedy Center Honors Award in December, is preparing for the May 6 drop of "Corazon," a collaborative effort with some of the biggest names in Latin music.
