Garth Brooks sells out two more added Dublin dates
The Irish appetite for Garth Brooks tickets appears to be far from satiated, as two additional shows sold out almost instantly.
According to The Independent, show #4 sold through its 80,000 tickets in 29 minutes, prompting a fifth show, which also sold out quickly.
Meanwhile, concerns are mounting that the cluster of shows may damage the Croke Park field, which is primarily intended for football (soccer in the U.S.) games. Brooks' run of dates will take place before a possible two All-Ireland football quarter-finals the following weekend.
The organization overseeing the venue, the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), has said there can be no 6th show on the grounds.
Brooks took part in Jay Leno's final night hosting the "Tonight Show" last week, performing "The Dance." The Irish dates are being staged as a kick-off to a multi-year world tour. Brooks hasn't formally toured since 2001.
