Coachella artists on tour

Several of the festival's confirmed musicians will be working the tour trail before and after those two weekends, introducing new albums and supporting more established releases. Here are a few acts with extensive treks scheduled and tickets on sale.

7. Arcade Fire Canadian indie-rockers Arcade Fire will bookend their mid-April Coachella performances with a combination of arena shows and other festival appearances. Their current itinerary, including European stops, reaches into late August.

6. Ellie Goulding
Singer/songwriter Ellie Goulding will follow up an in-progress European trek with a round of North American theater shows, tickets for which are on sale now.

5. Grouplove
Grouplove will continue drumming up support behind last September's release, "Spreading Rumours." The alt-dance collective will spend the rest of winter performing in clubs and theaters across the eastern U.S.

4. ZZ Ward
Bluesy songstress ZZ Ward is working the domestic tour trail ahead of her two-weekend Coachella appearances. Tickets for the month-long excursion, which continues promoting her 2012 debut, "Til the Casket Drops," are available now.

3. Chromeo
Canadian electro-funk pair Chromeo has an extensive spring outing on the books surrounding Coachella. The road trip comes around the time the duo is said to release their long-awaited fourth studio effort, "White Women," though no official drop date has yet been announced.

2. Haim
Following Australian and European legs, Haim will take to the stage at Coachella before heading off on a club and theater trek. Tickets for the pop-rockers forthcoming performances are on sale now.

1. Broken Bells
Broken Bells, comprised of Danger Mouse and The Shins vocalist James Mercer, are supporting their brand new sophomore set, "After the Disco," with some late winter shows. The major market trek precedes Coachella, and tickets are on sale now.
