Justin Bieber arrested for drunk driving, resisting arrest
Global superstar Justin Bieber is in trouble with the law after being pulled over early Thursday morning in Miami Beach for drag racing in his yellow Lamborghini.
Just after 4 a.m., police stopped the 19-year-old pop musician after he was caught driving around 55 to 60 mph in a residential area with speed limits of 30 mph, according to the Miami Herald. Though he wasn't violent, police did say he was not cooperating.
Bieber was then booked in the Miami jail after he failed a sobriety test, according to Miami Beach Police Chief Raymond Martinez. Bieber is charged with resist without violence, driving under the influence and having an expired license of more than six months. He faces up to six months in jail.
According to the police chief's statement, Bieber made statements that he had consumed alcohol, prescription drugs and marijuana.
The man driving the red Lamborghini Bieber was drag racing, rumored to be an associate of his, was also arrested.
Last week, Bieber made news after the Los Angeles Police Department began investigating him for allegedly egging a neighbor of his California residence. In that case, Bieber could face a felony vandalism charge if he's found to be involved, according to CNN.
