Widespread Panic unleashes spring theater schedule
Widespread Panic has planned out a spring leg of theater concerts, some of which will deliver full band acoustic performances.
The jam band will begin the multiple-city outing with three nights (3/6-3/8) in Richmond, VA. Those dates, along with a March 11 performance in Birmingham, AL, and a two-night stand March 13-14 in Nashville, will be acoustic shows, according to the band's website.
The Georgia-based outfit will then head to the Dominican Republic for several dates before returning stateside for a six-city West Coast run. The leg wraps up April 12 in Wilmington, NC.
Widespread Panic took on their first-ever all-acoustic tour in late 2011 and early 2012, after which the group took a break. Their most recent studio album, "Dirty Side Down," hit retailers in May 2011 via their own Widespread Records, though a new live effort, "Oak Mountain 2001 - Night 1," surfaced last May.
