String Cheese Incident head home to Colorado for New Year's shows
Colorado jam band String Cheese Incident will ring the New Year in their home state while simultaneously kicking off their 20th anniversary celebration.
The progressive bluegrass act will play three nights in Broomfield, CO, beginning Dec. 28 and concluding with a New Year's Eve (12/31) performance. Each evening will feature special guests, with Bootsy Collins on board for Dec. 28, The Flaming Lips joining 12/29 and Karl Denson & Chris Littlefield slated for 12/31. Other surprise guests will be unveiled in the coming weeks, according to a press release.
Tickets are on sale now for the trio of shows, and every ticket purchase comes with a download code for a free MP3 of the band's first cassette tape, now fully remastered.
String Cheese Incident are planning to unveil a new studio effort, produced by Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads) in spring 2014. The release will coincide with the 15th anniversary of the founding of the group's own indie label, SCI Fidelity Records.
