The Avett Brothers unveiled "I And Love And You," the group's major-label studio debut, in 2009. The 13-track set peaked at No. 16 on The Billboard 200 and at No. 2 on the magazine's Top Folk Albums chart.

Last summer, the quintet released a live album, aptly titled "Live, Volume 3." Recorded at in the band's hometown of Charlotte, NC, at the Bojangles Coliseum, the album spans the group's decade-long discography.

In a February interview with Billboard, the Avett Brothers acknowledged working with producer Rick Rubin on a new album.

"We haven't gotten through the entire list of songs we have for candidates for recording," Scott Avett explained. "This time we have a really long list of songs, and we'll just carve it from there and let the best and most appropriate songs see the light of day."

No word yet on when the new collection will surface.
