Umphrey's McGee continue roadwork into New Year

Jam-rockers Umphrey's McGee have unveiled the first round of 2014 tour dates following Halloween and New Year's Eve performances.

The Chicago-based outfit will perform Wednesday (10/30) in Kalamazoo, MI, followed by three consecutive shows in Milwaukee, WI, beginning Thursday (10/31) and finishing up Saturday (11/2). A trio of Denver performances will close out the year (12/28-12/29, 12/31).

The winter 2014 leg kicks off in mid-January with two nights in New York City (1/17-1/18) and ventures through a dozen cities, wrapping Feb. 15 in Silver Spring, MD.

The early 2014 road trip will feature special guests The Werks, Kung Fu, Moon Taxi and Bad Rabbits. Tickets go on sale to the general public Nov.1.

Umphrey's McGee most recently dropped "Death by Stereo," the band's sixth studio album, in September 2011.
