Dylan Fest scheduled for NYC in November, also debuts in San Francisco
Doyle Bramhall II, Heartless Bastards' Erika Wennerstrom and The Hold Steady's Craig Finn are just three of the acts confirmed for this year's Dylan Fest in New York City, as well as the benefit's debut in San Francisco.
The New York City event is slated for Nov. 11-12 at Bowery Ballroom. Others on that bill include Jason Isbell, Dhani Harrison, Jesse Malin, Amanda Shires, Grouplove, Danny Clinch, Matt Sweeney, Chase Cohl, Jack Dishel of Only Son, Steve Schiltz of Hurricane Bells, Johnny T, Josh Lattanzi of The Candles and The Wild Feathers, among others.
The first-ever Dylan Fest in San Francisco will take place Nov. 20 at the Great American Music Hall. This benefit performance will also feature Sly & The Family Stone's Cynthia Robinson and Jerry Martini, Eric Pulido of Midlake, Kelley Stoltz, Nicki Bluhm, Tim Bluhm, Boots Riley, Lukas Nelson, Chuck Prophet, Rayland Baxter, The Whigs and Elvis Perkins, along with many others.
Both Bob Dylan-centric events will be hosted by will be hosted by The Cabin Down Below Band. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which provides financial assistance to career musicians struggling to make ends meet while coping with illness, disability or age-related issues.
