Cat Power closes out year with domestic "Sun" shows
Cat Power will spend a few weeks touring across the eastern U.S. this fall in continued support of her most recent effort, "Sun."
The indie-rock songstress, born Chan Marshall, will begin the roadwork with an Oct. 21 appearance at the Elliott Smith tribute show in Brooklyn, NY, followed by headlining dates in 11 major markets. The late-fall outing finishes up with a Nov. 21 performance in Chicago.
In September 2012, Cat Power unveiled "Sun," her first new album in more than six years. The collection, the ninth studio set of her career, peaked at No. 10 on The Billboard 200 and at No. 2 on the magazine's Alternative Albums and Independent Albums charts.
