The Breeders add one more leg to "Last Splash" celebration
The Breeders will close out the year with another leg of a U.S. club tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of "Last Splash."
The alt-rock outfit, comprised of Kim and Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson, will first complete a four-date Australian run later this month before returning stateside for a Dec. 12 gig in Minneapolis. The latest round of dates includes six cities, culminating in a two-night stand Dec. 19-20 in New York City.
For each stop, The Breeders will perform the entirety of "Last Splash," the band's sophomore studio effort.
That collection, which surfaced in 1993 and marked their most successful album to date, peaked at No. 33 on Billboard's Top 200 chart and earned platinum certification within a year's time.
In April, a deluxe anniversary edition of the record, aptly titled "LSXX," surfaced.
