Jamey Johnson closes out the fall with club and theater shows
Country singer Jamey Johnson has scheduled a round of theater performances across the U.S. for the remainder of year, as well as a guest appearance at the George Jones tribute concert next month.
The Alabama native starts the run with an Oct. 18 show in Jackson, MS, and visits venues in 12 major markets through early December. As previously mentioned, Johnson is one of several country musicians to perform Nov. 22 at the star-studded, sold-out tribute to the late George Jones at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.
Johnson's most recent studio album, "Living for a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran," surfaced in October 2012 via Mercury Nashville. The collection of songs penned by songwriter Hank Cochran, which peaked at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 and at No. 3 on the magazine's Top Country Albums chart, follows 2010's "The Guitar Song."
Along with his five studio sets, Johnson has also co-written singles for George Strait, Trace Adkins, James Otto, Joe Nichols and Jessie James.
