Lady Gaga, Eminem, Arcade Fire among performers at inaugural YouTube Music Awards
Lady Gaga, Eminem and Arcade Fire are the first acts confirmed to perform at the first annual YouTube Music Awards, which will air live from New York on the Google-owned channel Nov. 3.
Actor Jason Schwartzman will host the 90-minute event, which will be directed by Spike Jonze and take place at New York City's Pier 36. A YouTube video announcement teased performances from around the world, including Seoul, Moscow, London and Rio de Janeiro.
Seven awards will be doled out at the inaugural awards ceremony, with artists and videos most watched and shared over the last year serving as nominees. That list will be revealed Oct. 17, and winners will be determined solely by online voting.
