Rock the Bells Washington, D.C. and New York City canceled due to low ticket sales
The 10th anniversary tour will be cut short, with the Sept. 28-29 stop in Washington, D.C. and the Oct. 4-5 event in New York City no longer taking place. Ticketholders will be refunded at the point of purchase, according to the festival's website. Those who purchased tickets online should see an automatic refund posted within the next five to seven business days.
"I, along with our staff, the artists, and all of the sponsors, media partners, local promoters, and radio stations involved are thankful for our supporters and the fans that planned on attending," founder/owner of the festival organizer Guerilla Union said in a press release. "It's extremely unfortunate that we can't complete the last half of the 10th anniversary 'Rock the Bells' tour. We did everything in our power to save the show. Unfortunately, the financial loss would have been devastating."
The "Rock the Bells" outing successfully touched down in Los Angeles (9/7-9/8) and San Francisco (9/14-9/15).
