Amos Lee readies for "Mountain of Sorrow" push
Soulful singer/songwriter Amos Lee will take on theaters and performing arts halls across the eastern U.S. late this fall in support of his impending release, "Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song."
The Philadelphia native will first perform alongside Brandi Carlile Oct. 20 in Clearwater, FL, before kicking off his official tour Nov. 5 in Milwaukee, WI. The fall trek boasts 16 stops, including a two-night stand Nov. 13-14 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, before the Nov. 30 conclusion in Knoxville, TN.
Lee is set to unveil his fifth studio effort, "Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song," Oct. 8. The album features two special guests: Allison Krauss on "Chill In The Air" and Patty Griffin singing harmony on "Mountain of Sorrow."
The forthcoming album is the first to feature his longtime touring band, which is comprised of Freddie Berman, Zach Djanikian, Andy Keenan and Jaron Olevsky, as well as the first collection ever recorded at producer Jay Joyce's new East Nashville studio.
