Depeche Mode takes "Delta Machine" tour to North America
With an extensive European tour in the books, Depeche Mode is launching the North American portion of "The Delta Machine World Tour."
The outing begins tonight (8/22) in Detroit and canvases the continent, hitting theaters in 21 cities through mid-October. The venture, which wraps up with an Oct. 11 appearance at Austin City Limits Festival, includes two Canadian gigs: Sept. 1 in Toronto and Sept. 3 in Montreal.
Shows in New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto and Las Vegas are already sold out, according to a press release. Tickets for other shows are still on sale.
"Delta Machine," Depeche Mode's long-awaited 13th studio effort, surfaced in March via Columbia Records. The collection, which follows the group's 2009 release, "Sounds of the Universe," peaked at No. 6 on The Billboard 200 and at the top of the magazine's Alternative Albums and Rock Albums charts.
