Neil Young & Crazy Horse cancel itinerary
Neil Young & Crazy Horse have canceled appearances at three North American festivals, as well as a New York theater show, due to a hand injury sustained by guitarist Poncho Sampredo.
The Canadian singer/songwriter will honor one date on his itinerary -- the 28th annual Farm Aid slated for Sept. 21 in Saratoga Springs, NY. Young is one of the benefit concert's co-founders.
"We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes to our fans or the festivals where we were scheduled to appear," the band said in a press release. "As you must be, we too are disappointed at this unfortunate turn of events."
The cancellations come after Sampredo's doctor indicated the guitarist would need more time to heal properly, according to the release.
