Todd Snider hits the road for his "Without Shoes" solo outing
Nashville singer/songwriter Todd Snider will spend nearly a month of the U.S. tour trail this fall, on an outing he's dubbed the "Without Shoes" tour.
The folk-rocker will begin the excursion with an Oct. 10 performance in Bowling Green, KY, and continue throughout the eastern portion of the nation through month's end. The club and theater run currently wraps up Oct. 28 in Tomball, TX.
"I'm excited to tell you this tour will be a little different," Todd said in a press release. "I'm planning on doing two sets that include old and new songs, new and old stories, daily poems each night, and a Q&A session followed by requests."
Snider also announced that Rufus Road Runner Ferguson will join the shows as MC and DJ.
In May, Snider spent time in a northern California studio, recording with a new band project entitled Hard Working Americans, featuring Dave Schools (Widespread Panic), Neal Casal (Chris Robinson Brotherhood), Duane Trucks (Col. Bruce Hampton) and Chad Staehly (Great American Taxi). That album is tentatively slated for an early 2014 drop via Melvin Records, according to a press release. The outfit also plans to unveil the first single over Labor Day weekend.
