Scott Weiland adds more "Purple at the Core" dates across U.S.
Scott Weiland will spend most of August on the U.S. tour trail with his band The Wildabouts as they continue the "Purple at the Core" trek.
The former Stone Temple Pilots frontman and crew will kick off the third leg of the journey with a two-night stand at West Hollywood, CA's Viper Room. Thirteen club and theater shows follow, finishing up on the eastern seaboard with an Aug. 24 performance in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Weiland and the band have been working the "Purple at the Core" tour since March. The rockers are performing music from two early STP albums, "Core" and "Purple," as well as Weiland's solo material and songs from his time with Velvet Revolver.
Weiland most recently dropped "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," in 2011. The solo collection features nine classic holiday songs and one original which Weiland penned with Doug Grean.
