Canada's Stars plot North American run behind "The North"
Canadian indie-rockers Stars will mix festival appearances with club shows later this summer as they continue supporting last year's "The North."
The Juno Award nominees get off to a slow start, beginning with a July 13 appearance at the Ottawa Blues Festival, followed by performances at Osheaga Festival Aug. 3 in Montreal and an a club show Aug. 10 in Owen Sound, Ontario.
The U.S. portion of the trek kicks off a month later with a Sept. 14 appearance at Chicago's Riot Fest. The 18-city leg runs for three weeks, wrapping up Oct. 6 in Burlington, VT.
Stars unleashed "The North," the band's sixth studio album, last September via ATO Records. The 12-track collection debuted at No. 5 on the Canadian Albums chart.
The video for the latest single, "Hold On When You Get Love and Let Go When You Give It," debuted earlier this week (6/26) on Huffington Post. The video was produced by George Vale and frontman Torquil Campbell.
