Jimmy Buffett and band extend tour into fall
Jimmy Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band have added a few stops onto their "Songs From St. Somewhere" run of North America.
The group, which returns to the road Saturday (6/22) with a Boston-area amphitheater show, has confirmed six new dates, including a second performance in Paris (9/26) and two Las Vegas dates (10/19, 10/26). The current itinerary features 16 domestic concerts scattered through late October.
"Buffet Hotel," the magnate's 28th studio set, surfaced in late 2009 via his own Mailboat Records. The 12-track album peaked at No. 17 on The Billboard 200 and at the top of the magazine's Top Independent Albums chart.
In September, the Broadway adaptation of "Big Fish" will debut in New York City. Buffett is producing the musical, while five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman will direct. More information is available at the production's website.
