J-Lo to return as "American Idol" judge

Jennifer Lopez will be returning for the upcoming season of " American Idol," keeping last season's revamped judges panel intact.

"I believe we're still waiting for the official announcements, but I am delighted to say that all three judges -- along with the brilliant host of American Idol -- [are] back for the next season," producer Nigel Lythgoe said today (8/10) on "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest's radio show.

Judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler had previously agreed to return for the upcoming 11th season of "Idol." Auditions for the new season get underway later this month.
