Old 97's on tap for several summer shows
Alt-country outfit Old 97's has unveiled a sporadic spring and summer itinerary that moves from coast to coast over three months.
The Dallas natives will first complete a trio of gigs with the Drive-By Truckers, beginning with a St. Louis performance Friday (5/24) and continuing on to Kansas City, MO (5/25); and Arlington, TX (5/26). A handful of Midwest theater shows and festival appearances are scattered throughout June, as well as three consecutive nights (6/27-29) in Brooklyn, NY.
The tour itinerary concludes with a two early July shows in California and an Oct. 12 appearance at the Fall for Greenville festival in Greenville, SC.
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of their third studio effort, "Too Far to Care," Old '97s unveiled an extended edition last year. The Omnivore Recordings release includes the original album, four bonus tracks and an entire second disc featuring a collection of demos entitled "They Made a Monster: The Too Far to Care Demos."
