Smith Westerns plot course behind "Soft Will"
Indie-rock outfit Smith Westerns will spend the summer canvassing North America in support of their third studio effort, "Soft Will."
The Chicago rockers will begin the club and theater trek with a July 21 stop in Nashville, TN, followed by 17 major markets spread from coast to coast. Before wrapping up Aug. 20 in Minneapolis, MN, the band will make an Aug. 9 appearance at San Francisco's Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival, as well as three Canadian concerts.
Smith Westerns are preparing for the June 25 drop of their third full-length album, "Soft Will." Recorded at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, TX, with producer Chris Coady (Beach House, Yeah Yeah Yeahs), the impending collection follows 2011's "Dye It Blonde."
The trio unveiled the forthcoming set's second single, "3am Spiritual," today (5/20). The lead single, "Varsity," is currently streaming at the band's website.
