Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Furthur among headliners for first Interlocken Festival
The four-day festival will take over Oak Ridge Farm at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains Sept. 5-8. The String Cheese Incident and The Black Crowes have also been confirmed for the festival, which will feature two main stages.
More artists will be revealed in the coming weeks, according to a press release.
Unlike most other North American festivals, Interlocken Festival will feature full two-hour performances that run back to back, with no breaks between sets. Many artists are expected to perform multiple sets on different days.
"Most festivals these days are trying to be everything to everyone -- very eclectic with an emphasis on a large number of artists in various genres," co-founder Peter Shapiro said in a press release. "With Interlocken, we want to break away from that mold and create something more identifiable and distinct."
The first round of tickets go on sale Thursday (5/23) at the festival website.
