Van Halen adds a couple one-off gigs to summer plans
Van Halen has unveiled a couple of domestic shows that will follow a mid-June trip to Japan, all in support of last year's release, "A Different Kind of Truth."
The iconic rock outfit, currently comprised of frontman David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen and Wolfgang Van Halen, will follow up four Japanese performances with a July 20 appearance at Rock USA in Oshkosh, WI, as well as a July 24 concert at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles, CA.
Van Halen most recently announced "A Different Kind of Truth," the group's 12th studio album, which surfaced in February 2012. The Interscope Records release landed at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and at the top of the magazine's Rock Albums and Hard Rock Albums charts.
Last summer, Van Halen had to cancel performances in Japan so Eddie Van Halen could have emergency surgery to treat diverticulitis, a digestive disorder.
