Patty Griffin gets behind new "American Kid" album
Patty Griffin will spend part of the summer on the road in promotion of her brand-new studio effort, "American Kid."
The Grammy-winning singer/songwriter begins the journey with a May 30 performance in Asheville, NC, followed by club and theater gigs stretching across the nation and parts of Canada through the end of that month. A one-off festival appearance Aug. 17 at Rocky Mountain Folk Festival in Lyons, CO, is also on the books.
More dates will be added to the trek in the coming weeks, according to a press release.
"American Kid," Griffin's seventh studio effort, hit retailers today (5/7). The collection, which was co-produced by Griffin and Craig Ross, marks the songstress' first set with New West Records.
The video for the effort's lead single, "Ohio," is currently streaming at the label's YouTube page.
