Tricky to bring "False Idols" trek to U.S venues
British DJ/producer Tricky has planned a handful of U.S. club and theater shows this summer in support of an impending album entitled "False Idols."
Tricky, born Adrian Thaws, will hit a handful of major U.S. cities in the coming weeks, beginning June 8 in Columbus, OH, and extending through nine more markets and wrapping up June 22 in Austin, TX.
"False Idols," Tricky's 10th studio effort, will hit retailers May 28, marking the first release on his own False Idols label.
"This new album I'll stand behind every track," Tricky said in a press release. "I don't care whether people like it. I'm doing what I want to do, which is what I did with my first record. That's what made me who I was in the beginning. If people don't like it, it don't matter to me because I'm back where I was."
The late May effort follows Tricky's 2010 release, "Mixed Race."
