Furthur cancels BottleRock Napa Valley gig after Bob Weir's collapse
Furthur, the rock outfit helmed by former Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, have canceled their May 9 appearance at BottleRock Napa Valley in response to Weir's recent collapse onstage.
Last Thursday (4/25), Weir stumbled and fell to the floor during a performance of "Unbroken Chain" on the last night of a nine-show residency at Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY.
The entire seven-piece band plan to return to the road for a July 11 show in Brooklyn, NY, followed by another 12 stops scattered across the nation. The journey wraps up with a three-night stand Oct. 4-6 at the Greek Theatre in L.A.
Lesh and Weir are touring with guitarist John Kadlecik, keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and drummer Joe Russo, as well as backing vocalists Sunshine Becker and Jeff Pehrson.
