Eagles extend "History of the Eagles" trek
Iconic rockers the Eagles have tacked another eight North American dates onto their "History of the Eagles Tour."
Since last check, another eight stops have been added to the itinerary, which kicks off July 6 in Louisville, KY. The new additions begin Sept. 6 in Vancouver and push through a Sept. 21 performance in Auburn Hills, MI.
Tickets for the latest gigs go on sale May 6; the full itinerary is at right.
The road trip continues supporting the recently released documentary "History of the Eagles: The Story of an American Band." The two-part documentary, created by Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney and director Alison Ellwood, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and aired on Showtime in February. The band gave the team permission to interview friends, enemies and current and former bandmates, according to the New York Times.
The documentary is now available on DVD and Blu-Ray, with the three-disc set including "Eagles Live at the Capitol Centre - March 1977," a previously unreleased concert film shot during the band's "Hotel California" tour, according to Rolling Stone.
