Dispatch extends trek to West Coast

New England jam band Dispatch has added more summer shows onto their in-progress excursion, the group's first in more than a decade.
The Vermont trio will take on a three-night run in Boston this weekend (6/24-6/26), followed by a two-month break. Roadwork begins again with an Aug. 27 show with Dave Matthews' Caravan in New York City, followed by another four gigs scattered across the nation.
The currently confirmed dates are shown at right.
Dispatch unveiled a self-titled EP last month on Bomber Records. A new studio set, the outfit's first in more than 10 years, is rumored to be in the works and hitting shelves this fall, though no official date has been announced. "Who Are We Living For?," the group's most recent studio album, surfaced in 2000.
In April, Dispatch performed the new EP's lead single, "Melon Bend," on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
