In Pictures: Rush in Detroit

Rush launched the first round of their Time Machine Tour last summer, and this year the band is back to pick up where they left off -- hitting locations around North America that didn't make the short list for the 2010 itinerary.

Last week, the new leg included an epic performance at Madison Square Garden (4/10). RollingStone.com interviewed the band and captured some exclusive video footage.

Geddy Lee and co. kicked things off at the end of last month (3/30) in Sunrise, FL, and the tour will run -- mainly along the East Coast -- through this coming Friday (4/22), when they wrap things up at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, MD.

Rush heads overseas through the month of May, but in June they return to the U.S. for a second batch of North American dates. The route will cover states primarily in the South and West, with the grand finale taking place on July 2 at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, WA.

SoundSpike photographer Gene Schilling was among the guests who attended Rush's concert at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit last night (4/17), and here are some of his best shots.
