Essence Music Festival bill includes Jennifer Hudson, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige
Jennifer Hudson, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige and Chaka Khan will be among the acts performing at this year's Essence Music Festival, scheduled for July 1-3 in New Orleans.
Trey Songz, Jill Scott, Boyz II Men, Charlie Wilson, Fantasia and a reunited New Edition also are among the acts performing on the festival's main stage at the New Orleans Superdome.
Artists scheduled to appear on the festival's Superlounge second stage include Stephanie Mills, Macy Grey, Mavis Staples, Charmaine Neville Band, George Clinton, Irma Thomas, Kelly Price and Kourtney Heart, among others.
