Robert Plant continues pushing "Band of Joy"

Robert Plant has added yet another leg onto his in-progress "Band of Joy" outing, which now reaches into the summer with a slew of North American theater and festival gigs.
Since last check, seven new shows have been tacked onto the itinerary, including an April 15 performance in Live Oak, FL, and appearances at Manchester, TN's Bonnaroo Music Festival (6/12) and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival (6/16), among others.
The English singer/songwriter will take to the stage alongside his five-piece Band of Joy, which includes singer Patty Griffin, multi-instrumentalist Darrell Scott, bassist Byron House, drummer Marco Giovino and guitarist Buddy Miller.
Plant and his touring group unveiled "Band of Joy," his ninth studio set, in September via Rounder Records. The album, which debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200, received two Grammy nominations: Best Americana Album and Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance.
Last fall, Plant played his way around England and Ireland. While the "Band of Joy" album has been his focus, Plant has also been performing Led Zeppelin tunes such as "Gallow's Pole," "Rock and Roll," "Misty Mountain Hop" and "Houses of the Holy."
