Rod Stewart's illness sinks debut gig with Stevie Nicks
Sunday night (3/20) was supposed to mark the launch of a co-headlining tour featuring Rod Stewart and Sevie Nicks, but the show in South Florida never got off the ground.
"We regret to inform that the Rod Stewart/Stevie Nicks Concert scheduled for Sunday, March 20th at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise has been canceled," said a statement posted on Stewart's website over the weekend. "Rod Stewart has the flu forcing the cancellation."
Refunds are available at the point of purchase.
Assuming Stewart is feeling better by then, the tour is now scheduled to open Wednesday (2/23) in Tampa, FL.
The upcoming Stewart/Nicks tour is dubbed "The Heart and Soul Tour."
