My Morning Jacket teases new album with free downloads

My Morning Jacket's new album, title "Circuital," is due sometime this spring, and the band is whetting the appetite of fans by offering some free downloads beginning this week.
Beginning today (3/3), the band is offering the first of five weekly MP3s that were recorded live during the band's weeklong residency at New York's Terminal 5 last October. On the sixth week, a free download of a song from the forthcoming album will be delivered.
Fans can sign up to receive downloads of all six songs at the band's website.
"Circuital," MMJ's sixth studio album, was recorded in Louisville, KY, and Nashville, and co-produced by frontman Jim James with Tucker Martine (R.E.M., The Decemberists). It marks the band's first new studio set since 2008's "Evil Urges."
My Morning Jacket so far hasn't revealed extensive touring plans behind the new album, but there are a handful of dates on the band's itinerary, including an April 17 gig in Lexington, KY. Stops are also planned at Gulf Shores, AL's Hangout Festival (May 20-22), Ozark, AR's Wakarusa Festival (June 2-5), Hunter, NY's Mountain Jam (which also runs June 2-5), Manchester, TN's Bonnaroo, and Quincy, CA's High Sierra Music Festival.
