Def Leppard to traverse amphitheaters with Heart

U.K. arena rockers Def Leppard will be touring the U.S. amphitheater circuit this summer with Heart, led by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, holding down the opening slot.
More than 20 shows have been confirmed so far, and more will be announced, according to a press release. The outing is currently set to open June 15 in West Palm Beach, FL.
Def Leppard will kick off their touring season by headlining the U.K.'s Download Festival on June 10. It will mark the band's second headlining appearance at the event in three years.
The band is also planning to release a new live album titled "Mirrorball" this summer. It will feature three new songs along with a mix of Def Leppard classics, as well as a DVD containing live performances and backstage footage. Also in the works for the summer is a coffee table book dubbed "Def Leppard: The Definitive Visual History," containing exclusive photos by Ross Halfin.
Heart's latest release is "Red Velvet Car," which hit stores last year. It marked the classic rockers' first new studio release since 2004.
