Bob Dylan floats out initial U.S. dates for 2010
Legendary troubadour Bob Dylan to date has spent most of 2010 overseas, but he'll return to his home country in August to play a typically packed schedule of U.S. shows.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer wraps up his current European slate July 4 in Limerick, Ireland, and is currently set to kick of his U.S. outing Aug. 4 in Austin, TX. About a month of shows are currently confirmed, with many more expected.
Among Dylan's U.S. tour stops is an Aug. 18 gig with John Mellencamp at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The venue was built for Celine Dion's long-running Vegas production.
Dylan released two albums last year: In April, "Together Through Life" hit stores, and his holiday album "Christmas in the Heart" was issued in April.
