Dispatch expands comeback tour

Evidently, fans of New England jam band Dispatch are happy that the band is back from its extended hiatus.
Earlier this month, the group announced plans to embark on a six-city, six-show tour. Thanks to strong ticket sales, however, several additional shows have been tacked onto the band's upcoming June outing.
What was initially a single show in the Denver area has now grown to three performances in order to meet demand. Additionally, two shows are now planned in Harrison, NJ, and three gigs are now set for Boston. This week, the band added new stops at Chicago's UIC Pavilion and the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.
Dispatch has been inactive since playing three shows in 2007 at New York's Madison Square Garden, and hasn't embarked on a summer tour in more than a decade. The group is also starting to work on its first studio album since 2000's "Who Are We Living For?"
The band will donate 50 cents from each ticket sold to benefit education programs in each local market, and will also plan additional programs to spotlight education in every market they visit.
