Josh Ritter still "Runs the World" in 2011
Singer/songwriter Josh Ritter has plotted a major market U.S. tour this winter with The Royal City Band as he continues supporting his recently released "So Runs the World Away."
The Idaho native and the six-piece backing band will begin the road trip Feb. 10 in Philadelphia, followed by another 13 club and theater gigs throughout the nation. The winter trek wraps up Feb. 28 in Dallas.
Tickets for several shows are available now via the musician's website, which also features a live stream of the new album, Ritter's sixth full-length studio set.
Ritter unveiled this latest collection in April as part of the third annual Record Store Day. Produced by Sam Kassirer, the 13-track set peaked at No. 200 on The Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the magazine's Folk Albums chart, and follows Ritter's 2007 set, "The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter."
